NFAIS Launches Career Center to Connect Job Seekers and Employers in Information Services

Free job board aims to help information services professionals network and advance their careers

December 11, 2014, Annapolis, MD – The National Federation of Advanced Information Services (NFAIS™), the nation’s leading membership association for the information services industry, today announced the launch of the NFAIS Career Center, an online portal designed to connect employers and talent in the information services industry.

As a free service for NFAIS members and the general public, the Career Center is designed to help professionals in information services – including librarians, publishers, database creators and content management providers – to network, promote their professional development and accelerate their career progression. The Career Center website is: jobs.nfais.org.

Through this comprehensive portal, job seekers can search for and quickly apply to quality, relevant jobs; set up job alerts for immediate notification anytime a job is posted that matches their skills or interests; create an anonymous profile or upload an anonymous resume, so employers can easily find you; and access job searching tools and tips.

The NFAIS Career Center also gives employers, for a discounted fee, the ability to easily post jobs and track activity on those postings. Employers also can send job opportunities to NFAIS members via email, generating brand exposure for their organizations.

“Providing NFAIS members with opportunities for professional development and career growth is central to our mission to serve the information services industry,” said Marcie Granahan, NFAIS Executive Director. “The breadth of our member base makes the NFAIS Career Center the best channel for employers to post their open positions to job seekers in our industry. At the same time, we’re able to provide high-quality, relevant jobs for the benefit of our members and professionals eager to work in the fast growing field of information services.”

Job seekers interested in tracking the most current posted jobs in the NFAIS Career Center can also do so via the NFAIS Twitter feed: @NFAISForum.
